Year 2025 :: North Nazimabad Town is a suburb of Karachi, Pakistan. North Nazimabad was developed in the late 1950s as a residential area for the employees of the federal government of Pakistan and was named after Khawaja Nazimuddin who was the second Governor-General of Pakistan and later the second Prime Minister of Pakistan.
As per GROK: North Nazimabad Town is a suburb in the northern part of Karachi, Pakistan, within the Karachi Central district. Established in 1958 by the Karachi Improvement Trust (KIT) to house federal government employees, it was named after Khawaja Nazimuddin, Pakistan’s second Governor-General and Prime Minister. Originally planned as Timuria (after Amir Timur), the name North Nazimabad became more popular. The area was developed on land purchased from Sardar Masti Brohi Khan to resettle Muslim refugees from India living in tent cities in central Karachi.
